Privacy notice

This notice explains what personal information is collected through this website and how it is used when you contact West Midlands Drone.

Who is responsible Information collected How it is used Lawful basis Sharing Retention Your rights Cookies Contact

Effective date: 29 July 2026. This notice covers telephone, email and WhatsApp enquiries started through westmidlandsdrone.co.uk.

1. Who is responsible for your information

West Midlands Drone is responsible for the personal information described in this notice.

Email: westmidlandsdrone.uk@gmail.com
Phone: +44 7561 583269

2. Information collected

When you make an enquiry, the information may include:

  • your name, company name, email address and phone number;
  • the project location, preferred date and service requested;
  • project descriptions, photographs, plans, map links or other information you choose to provide;

Please do not send sensitive personal information unless it is genuinely required for the enquiry.

3. How the information is used

Your information is used to:

  • reply to your enquiry and discuss project requirements;
  • assess likely flight, location, travel and permission requirements;
  • prepare and manage quotations, bookings and project communications;
  • maintain business and accounting records where a service is purchased;
  • establish, exercise or defend legal claims where necessary.

The website does not add enquiry details to a marketing mailing list.

4. Lawful basis

Enquiry information is normally processed because it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, or because there is a legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and operating the service. Where legal or accounting records must be kept, processing may be necessary to comply with a legal obligation.

5. Sharing and service providers

Information is not sold. It may be shared only where reasonably necessary, for example with hosting or email providers, professional advisers, project contractors, or public authorities where disclosure is legally required.

If a project requires another specialist or contractor, relevant information should only be shared for that project and with appropriate care.

6. How long information is kept

Unsuccessful or general enquiries are normally retained for no longer than 24 months so that previous discussions can be understood. Records connected with quotations, bookings, payments, disputes or legal obligations may need to be retained for longer.

Information should be deleted sooner where it is no longer needed and there is no legal or operational reason to keep it.

7. Your data protection rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to request access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or transfer. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

To make a request, email westmidlandsdrone.uk@gmail.com. Identity may need to be confirmed before information is disclosed or changed.

8. Cookies and analytics

The base website does not use advertising cookies, behavioural tracking, third-party analytics or an online contact form. Clicking the email, phone or WhatsApp buttons transfers you to the relevant service or application, whose own privacy terms may then apply.

If analytics, embedded video, maps, advertising or other third-party services are added later, this notice and the website's cookie controls must be reviewed before those services are enabled.

9. Security

Reasonable technical and organisational measures should be used to protect enquiry information. No internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

10. Questions and updates

Questions about this notice can be sent to westmidlandsdrone.uk@gmail.com. The notice may be updated when the website, business process or legal requirements change.
